About
Hello, I'm Martin-Patrick.
Fifteen years inside one of Canada's largest telcos took me from the front line of customer support to where operations meet engineering. Today I write specs, automate processes, and build software on the side.
I joined TELUS in 2011 in the competitive call center, handling national and international calls, including 911 emergencies. Over the next decade I moved through customer service, back-office operations, and process support, picking up coaching, escalation management, and quality work along the way.
Since 2025 I've been working as a Business Analyst, focused on back-office automation. My day-to-day is functional specifications, business requirements, JIRA, and the cross-team coordination needed to actually ship internal tools that make life easier for the people doing the work.
On the side I build NoBullFit, a privacy-first health and fitness tracking platform, frontend, backend, automation, and the boring infrastructure in between. I also founded tmi.js, a JavaScript library for Twitch chat that the developer ecosystem still relies on. I work in TypeScript, React, Express, and PostgreSQL, and I care a lot about auditability and privacy by design.
AI is a daily, hands-on part of how I work. I run my own models, experiment constantly, and have put in enough time with the tools to have a grounded read on where they genuinely help, and where the hype outruns reality. Some of what I dig into ends up in a presentation or two. Long-term, I want to keep living at the seam between operations, engineering, and AI.
If something here resonates, I'm happy to talk, drop me a line.
