untyped.ca
The site you are reading. A quiet, fast home for my work, built to stay out of its own way.
Why it exists
I wanted one place that keeps my slide decks and my projects together with a resume that stays current. Not a profile on someone else's platform, and not a template I would have to fight every time I wanted to change something.
The brief I gave myself was editorial and minimal. Warm off-white, deep ink, one rust accent. Generous spacing. Nothing that asks for attention it has not earned.
How it is built
Astro 5 with the Cloudflare Workers adapter. Every route is prerendered to static HTML and served from the edge, so pages arrive fast and the server does almost nothing at request time.
No web fonts. Headings use the system serif, body copy the system sans, so there is nothing to download before text renders. No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts. Nothing on the page phones home.
The site is fully bilingual on Astro's native i18n. English lives at the root, French under /fr, with hreflang alternates and per-locale Open Graph wired into the head. The French copy is hand-written in Québec French, not machine-translated.
- Zero web fonts. System serif and sans, nothing to download before text paints.
- No trackers, no cookies. No analytics, no third-party scripts, nothing that phones home.
- Native bilingual. English at the root, French under /fr, hreflang and OG locale wired in.
- Edge-delivered. Prerendered static routes served from Cloudflare Workers.
